House rules
A few promises we ask every guest to keep.
They exist for three reasons: a sensitive septic system, wonderful neighbours, and keeping Casolena allergy-friendly for every guest after you.
Check-in 4 PM. Check-out 10 AM. Quiet hours outdoors, 10 PM to 7 AM. Late departures may incur additional fees, since turnover days are tightly scheduled.
Guest registration
At booking time we ask for the full names and ages of all guests.
No parties, events or unregistered visitors
Only registered guests may be on the property, at any time.
Security cameras
Exterior cameras cover the driveway, entry points and lakefront area. Outdoors only, for everyone’s safety.
No pets
Casolena stays animal-free so allergy-sensitive guests can breathe easy.
No shoes indoors
Year-round. Bring flip-flops or cozy socks if bare floors aren’t your thing.
No smoking or vaping indoors
Smoke detectors are in place. Outdoors, please use the designated smoking area.
No fireworks
Not permitted without an official permit, per local bylaws.
Campfires in the fire pit only
And only when no fire ban is in effect. Check before you strike a match.
Check-out at 10 AM
It gives our housekeeping team the full day to reset the house properly.
Mind the noise
No outdoor speakers at any time; quiet hours outdoors 10 PM to 7 AM.
Leave the kitchen as you found it
We handle linens and towels; we ask you to wash dishes and clean the appliances you used.
Take your garbage on departure
We’ll point you to the nearby disposal and recycling sites in the home guide.
Be kind to the septic
No grease down the drains, one bathtub use per day, and up to two laundry loads daily.
Respect the water
The shoreline is rocky and wet rocks are slippery. Kayak use requires a signed liability waiver.
Wildlife wisdom
Children should be supervised outdoors, and skip the solo midnight hikes. This is the Bruce, after all.
