Booking & rates
Why can I only select certain dates for check-in and check-out?
During high season (June to October and the December holidays), check-in and check-out days are fixed. It lets us pre-book housekeeping and keep Casolena ready for every guest.
I want to book next summer but the calendar looks blocked. Why?
We open the next summer’s calendar in December, and summer dates often fill 6 to 8 months in advance. Join our email list and we’ll tell you the moment dates open.
What are the rates for weekdays and weekends?
Rates vary by season and day of the week. Select your dates on the booking page for up-to-date pricing.
Why are there two different occupancy limits?
We welcome up to 6 guests for groups of friends, and up to 8 for families with children. It keeps the house comfortable and safe, our neighbourhood peaceful, and us compliant with local regulations.
The price went up when I added another guest. Is that normal?
Yes. Our base rate covers 6 guests. Beyond 6, an extra-guest fee of $25 per guest per day applies.
Can friends join later if they’re not sure yet?
Plans change. Additional guests can be added with advance notice and written confirmation, as long as the group stays within the occupancy limits.
Can we waive the cleaning fee if we clean up ourselves?
We can’t. The fee covers a professional deep clean and a full reset between stays. Our amenity checklist alone runs past 50 items.
Your stay
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in from 4 PM, check-out by 10 AM.
Can I pay extra for early check-in or late check-out?
When there’s no same-day turnover we do our best to accommodate, free of charge. On turnover days the cleaning schedule needs every hour.
Do you ever make an exception for pets?
We love animals, but to keep the space hypoallergenic for all guests, Casolena is pet-free, no exceptions.
Is outdoor smoking allowed?
Indoors is strictly smoke-free. Outdoors, there’s a designated smoking area.
Does the quiet-hours policy apply to indoor noise?
Quiet hours (10 PM to 7 AM) apply to outdoor noise for our neighbours’ sake. Indoors, we simply ask for considerate volumes overnight.
Are there waste disposal sites nearby?
Yes. We share local waste and recycling details in the home guide after your booking is confirmed.
Outdoors & water
Are there kayaks on site?
Yes. Four single kayaks are provided free from June to September. A signed waiver is required before use.
Do you provide life vests?
Yes, 4 adult-size life vests are on site.
Do you provide firewood for the fire pit?
We leave enough for one cozy campfire; more is available locally.
What type of BBQ is it? Do I bring coal or gas?
It’s a propane BBQ and we provide the gas. Just bring the appetite.
